With Warm Gratitude
To My Dear Readers,
I’ve carried this message quietly with broken pieces surrounding my heart, just waiting until I could offer it with the fullness it deserves. I want to thank you for your patience, your kindness, your thoughtful emails and DMs, and the cards and flowers you have sent me over the past year. Your compassionate words reached me in ways that brought a little light to my soul each day.
Grief made me step away from the literary world for a time, but I was reminded by many that writing had always anchored me through difficult seasons. So, I decided to welcome my favorite old friend back into my home. Before I knew it, there were sentences turning into chapters, and each chapter digging deeper into the next.
The story carried me back to those happier party going days of the 90s, when singing groups were everywhere. The guys wore baggy jeans while the girls stepped out in chunky heels and bright party shirts. Hair was curled, dyed, and flying high in the air. Songs made us mimic every dance move from Bobby Brown and Kid ’n Play, while movies reminded us of love, laughter, and simpler times. Working on Cousins-2 became both a nostalgic escape and an adventure. Creativity allows us to travel into worlds that help others forget their troubles, if only for a little while. And on the nights when sleep would not come, these characters and all their drama kept me company.
It is with deep gratitude that I can now share that Cousins-2 is complete and scheduled for release on May 1, 2026.
Arriving here was a journey that I didn’t take alone. You gave me the grace to heal while gently holding space for this follow up story to find its way forward, and for readers to see what happens next with the Walker cousins. It’s my hope that when you open book two, you will feel the same connection to the characters you embraced in book one, and even more.
To my editor, book formatter, and cover designers, thank you as well for your unwavering support. Your thoughtful care in shaping this book into something that would resonate with readers was remarkable. Your gentle pen, artistic gifts, and dedication made a lasting difference throughout this process.
Looking ahead, the Walker family saga continues. I’m already shaping Cousins-3, along with a novella that will explore the lives of two beloved characters more intimately. These works are already unfolding, with plans to share them in the fall of 2026 and into early 2027.
